And Wayne Rooney looked downcast as he arrived at Everton Finch Farm training ground in Merseyside on Tuesday - the day of his 32nd birthday.
The sports star was spending his birthday apart from his wife and sons Kai, seven, Klay, four, and 22-month-old Kit, as they holiday in Barbados without him in the wake of the incident.
The Everton striker was slumped down in his seat as he arrived at the pitch, appearing a little glum.
He managed to flash a thumbs up, attempting to make the best of things as he focused on his sporting career.
Coleen has brought her children with her as she jets off for her seventh holiday in ten months without disgraced Wayne, who is back home alone in the UK.
Making the most of her sons' half term holidays, Coleen, who was spotted without her wedding ring, is said to be staying at her beloved Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, as she continues to put her marital tensions behind her.
